Political Cartoon:

Constitutional Connection:

“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

Explanation of Connection:

Well this amendment says that you have the right to secure your belongings against unreasonable searches. And if a person in authority does not have a probable warrant they cant search your belongings. A probable warrant is one with descibing the place to be searched and supported by oath.

This political cartoons shows the fourth amendment because in the court the officer says that the search was by the book. The search actually was not because then after that he said that he counted to 100 before looking. I believe that the officer  was being questioned because lack of following the rules  He also never mentioned having the papers that approved the search. The constitution protect the belongings of others and the officer didn't abide by the rules. So he is gonna have consequences. This is conected to the constitution because it said before searching you need to have th right to look which the officer did not.

I like this amendment because it doesn't give the police and detectors too much power. With out this amendment a lot of people would have been violated of there personal space and things. And i also believe that it also means that if they search without the warrant it wont be allowed to be used in court. Which is good because that violation.
